ULB official allegedly submits fake certificate to secure senior post 8/27/2014 11:47:56 PM Muhammad Mukaram Srinagar, Aug: 27: Even as there is no let up in the allegations of "embezzlements and non-transparency" in Urban Local Bodies (ULB), an official who is alleged to have produced a fake diploma ceriticate continues to hold his post. This despite the the fact that Directorate (ULB) has issued him a notice to submit the original certificate. According to sources, Executive Officer in Municipal Committee, Bandipora (MCB), Shakeel Ahmed Shah, has allegedly produced fake diploma certificate in the department to secure the plum post. "The official is allegedly having fake certificate of sanitary diploma course which he produced to secure his entry in the Urban local bodies and was appointed as sanitary inspector . But instead of probing into the matter, the government has promoted him as executive officer in MCB," the sources added. The documents in possession of Early times reveal that Deputy Director urban local bodies has issued the notice under ref No: DULB/Est/1975/4/72 to the officer involved to submit the certificate along with related documents to the said directorate within 15 days which he had not done as yet. A document of Health Services, Kashmir, which is also in possession of Early times, revealed that Shakeel Ahmed Shah ,in-charge Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora (MCB) has shown the certificate with serial No 256 which seems to be fake one.Central Vigilance Department has formally registered a case against the said officer. The insiders said the officer should not hold the higher post till he was proved innocent. A group of educated unemployed youth forum, Bandipora, had also registered a written complaint against the officer. Sources said the officer "enjoys political patronage and blessings of some babus in the civil secretariat as he is the relative of a senior NC leader and minister. The government has issued a circular vide order No DULB /Estt/1828-111/10538-82 of 09 Nov 2013 to all higher officials of all Committees to disallow and stop the salaries of all "illegally" appointed persons till they were cleared on verification but the order has not been implemented so far.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
