Besides NC, Sadohtra cornered by PDP, Congress, Panther MLA s 8/27/2014 11:57:34 PM Sandeep Bhat Jammu, Aug 27: Minister for planning, Ajay Sadhotra today faced an embarrassing situation when two MLAs of his own party attacked him on allocation of funds to Srinagar district. Irfan Shah and Peer Afaq both ruling NC MLAs raised the issue of allocation of funds to Srinagar in the last five and half years of governance in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. They also questioned the criteria of allocation of funds and additionality of funds. The PDP legislators supported the two NC legislators in attacking the Planning Minister. This was a rare occasion when PDP legislators supported the ruling party legislators. G M Saroori Congress MLA also joined the group in criticizing the way allocation and dditionality of funds are distributed. He also raised a finger on Planning Minister who was helpless in answering the queries of legislators. Panther party leader and MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia accuses Planning Minister of changing his name plate and replacing it with own name plate in Udhampur which was supported by all PDP and BJP MLA.. Mankotia challenged minister that how can a minister replace his name plate without the local MLAs knowledge and why he was not invited to the function by the said minister. He further said that the institution of MLA should be protected and under no circumstances it should be diluted, he was referring towards chair and in reply, speaker too notice of his complaint and assured him of full cooperation.
