Govt ration embezzled in Kalakote; TSO, license of ration dealer suspended | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 16: The Kalakot police during a night patrol intercepted two persons and recovered 300 kilogrammes of government ration (Rice) being taken for black marketing in Kalakot areas. Police sources said that the duo is involved in the network of selling government ration in black marketing and the involvement of government ration dealers and CA&PD department employees can't be ruled out in this network. Dr Haseeb Mughal, SSP said that during night patrolling exercise Kalakot police headed by Chama Gorkha intercepted two persons at about 1.30 am along with ponies carrying consignment of rice. On inquiring, the duo identified as Mphd Altaf s/o Mohd Hussian and Sain s/o Peroo both resident of Gadyog in Kotranka tehsil failed to give satisfactory reply and was subjected to sustain interrogation o the spot. Further investigation by the police revealed that the duo had collected the government ration (rice) from one government ration dealer identified as Munir Hussain r/o Bandigalla and were taking to remote areas to be sold to shopkeepers in black marketing. Both the persons along with ponies and ration consignment were taken to police station at Kalaokot and booked in FIR No 87/2014 under sections 3/7 Essential Commodity Act and 409 RPC. Meanwhile, taking cognizance of the matter, CA&PD authorities placed TSO and license of the ration dealer under suspension. Director CA&PD Jammu G.S Chib when contacted confirmed the reports. |
