Sources said Pawan Gupta who is the senior most leader of the Party and whose father Lala Shir Charan Gupta was among the founding fathers of Praja Parishad movement was also made a scapegoat by Party to please the faction led by Jugal. Sources said likewise MLA Basholi Jagadish Raj Sapolia who had close links with Prof Gupta was suspended from Party and given preference to an outsider, was also made a scape goat for the same reason. Similarly Chaman Lal Kanathia was also denied ticket from khour due to tussle in party while Yudhir Sethi and Vikram Randhawa while also rejected as party candidates from Jammu East and Gandhi Nagar Constituencies. Sources said Satish Sharma a strong contender from Billawar was also made a scapegoat though enjoying patronage of a heavy weight Party leader at Delhi.
