CTA Calls on Naeem Akhter | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 11: A delegation of J&K College Teachers Association headed by its President Prof. Tariq Ashai called on the Minister Higher Education Naeem Akhter & Commissioner Secretary Higher Education. Sarita Chouhan at Jammu. A memorandum of demands was submitted to the Minister which include re-designation of eligible selection grade lecturers as Associate Professors, clearance of pending placement of Assistant Professors to Higher AGP'S, removal of disparity viz-a-viz age of superannuation, work load as per UGC Guidelines, benefit of SRO 222 to College Teachers, grant of additional increments and many other issues. The Minister assured the delegation that their demands will be thoroughly looked upon and resolved in due course of time. He impressed upon the delegation that college Teachers should work with Zeal and Zest and use their experience and expertise in framing and introducing job orientated courses in the colleges, so that Younger generation would get benefits of Higher Education. The delegation comprised of Dr. Sanjay Verma , Prof. Mir Mashok, Prof. Saini, Prof. Manhas & Others. Later Prof. Tariq Ashai interacted with different delegations from various colleges of Jammu province at Science College Jammu and apprised them about the latest developments regarding various issues pending in the Higher Education Department and assured them that their issues would be got resolved in near course of time. |
