Vikram-Vinay pair bags doubles title Vinay Gupta of IIIM wins Carom singles title 3/11/2015 10:52:39 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 11: Vinay Gupta of Indian Institute of Integrative Medicines (IIIM) clinched the singles title in the carom competition of the ongoing sports meet of Centre Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at IIIM Complex, here today. In the final, Vinay outplayed Sohan Singh of Survey of India (SOI) 2-1. Earlier, in the semifinals, Sohan defeated Shashi Jamwal of the same organisation (SOI) 2-0 while Vinay defeated Jagdish Singh of National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) 2-0. Quarterfinals: Sohan Singh (SOI) bt Rajesh (IIIM) 2-1; Jagdish Singh (NSSO) bt Rattan Lal (NSSO) 2-0; Vinay Gupta (IIIM) bt Lakku Vinayak (SOI) 2-0; Shashi Jamwal (SOI) bt Anil (IIIM) 2-1. In the decider, Vikram and Vinay trounced the pair of R K Bhat and Tara Chand of Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) 2-0. In the semifinals, AK Bhat and Tara Chand of PCDA beat Jagdish and Subash of NSSO 2-1 while the pair of Vikram and Vinay defeated Rajesh and Anil of IIIM.
