MAM College organizes symposia on 'Truth, Non-Violence' 3/11/2015 10:54:50 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 11: An Intra Collegiate Symposia on the topic 'Truth and Non-Violence' was organised by the Gandhian Studies Centre of Government MAM College Jammu in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family. On the occasion, Padam-shree SP Verma from GGF was the chief guest, while Dr. Anita Sudan Principal of the college presided over the function. The Chief Guest dwelt on the need of Gandhian Gospels of truth and Non-Violence in the modern era. He also gave a detail account of the activities carried out by Gandhi Global Family to strengthen peace and harmony in the world. Dr. Anita Sudan, Principal of the college deliberated upon the relevance of Gandhian Principles in true letter and spirit. She also encouraged the students to take part in such activities to ensure their holistic development. About 10 volunteers participated in the Symposia and presented diverse views on the topic. Prof. Jozfeen Afzal, Head Dept. of Education and Prof. Nirlape Kour Head Dept. of Political Science were the jury members for the Symposia. Mrs Neeraj Sharma, Abdul Majid Bichoo from Gandhi Global family also spoke on the importance of Gandhian values in society. Vishal Dogra of BA Part-II semester compared the proceedings of the Symposia.
