Straw gutted, victims demand compensation

kathua, Mar 11:Straw stored for live stocks has been gutted due to short circuit in the residence of Asim Din, a Gujjar, at village Bakrak, Panchayat Khanpur, Block Barnoti.
The incident occurred when minors were at home and an electric wire with high voltage suddenly sparked and fell down on the pile of huge straw. Local Police rushed the spot and informed to Fire & Emergency department that also reached after few minutes and controlled the fire. While interacting to media, Asam Din, demanded action against PDD and sought proper checking of the electric wires which could harm live stock and minors too in the house. He said department never came to check the existing position of the wires.
Besides severe inquiry, Asam demanded compensation for his loss and appealed government for helping hand.
