Jammu, Mar 11: Following a land dispute a group of persons last night fired some bullet on a man who had a miraculous escape while window panes of some vehicle got damage in Keyani area falling under the jurisdiction of Trikuta Nagar police station.
Police sources said, "A man identifying self as Mohammad Younis son of Faqar Din of Keyani lodged a complaint with police that last night at around 1:30 am a group of six persons entered into his house and opened bullets upon him."
"However being fortunate, he escaped unhurt while window panes of his two vehicles got damaged in the firing incident, the complainant stated. Police sources said that the complainant further had identified his assailants namely as Mehraj Din, his brother Makab Din, Nazir Ahmed, Salim Ahmed, Sultan Mohammad residents of Keyani Talab and Jameel Ahmed of Gandhi Nagar." Quoting complainant, police sources said that the complainant had a dispute with some persons over a piece of land.
Sources said, the Police have registered a case and booked six persons in this regard while hunt to nab the absconding them is on. |
