Jammu, Apr 6: The poor health services in hilly and backward Ramban constituency of Chenab valley could be judged from the fact that there are 192 posts lying vacant in District Hospital Ramban, Emergency Hospital Batote, PHCs Rajgarh, Bathni and Assar, beside in 7 NTPHCs of Ramban constituency. In reply to Question of MLA Ramban Neelam Langeh, the government of Jammu and Kashmir in its reply the ministry of Health and Medical Education through Assistant Director (P&S) Health and Medical Education stated that all the health institutions of District Ramban have been provided with requisite Machinary/Equipments as per their status and agreed in principal that there is deficiency in manpower which is being addressed. The reply stated that out of 129 sanctioned posts in District Hospital Ramban, 79 posts are lying vacant including 12 posts of doctors, while all other posts lying vacant are that off supporting staff. Similarly in Emergency Hospital at Batote, out of 70 sanctioned posts, 34 posts are lying vacant. In PHE Rajgarh out of sanctioned 18 posts, 10 posts are lying vacant. In PHE Bathni, out of 18 sanctioned posts 14 posts are lying vacant which include two posts of Medical Officer, similarly in PHC Assar, out of sanctioned 65 posts, 33 posts are lying vacant. In 7 NTPHC, out of 43 sanctioned posts, 22 posts are lying vacant. The government reply also rule out opening of Health centers at Kanthi, Balihote, Govindpura Kundi and Sub center at Galibass-Sencha, Seri Ramban, Shenkli, Kattal and Thana Chanderbhaten in Doda District. |
