Jammu, Apr 6: As they said nearer the church farther from God, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Commissioner (JKPSC) the nodal government recruitment agency itself is facing acute shortage of human resources which in return is taking toll of its smooth functioning.
Ironically the nodal agency is without Chairman and Members virtually has spoiled an indispensable one year of the 99 candidates of selected through Combined Competitive Examination of 2013 who still are awaiting for their probation yet to be started.
Sources told Early Times that the 99 selected candidates of Combined Competitive Examination of 2013 batch are sitting idle even after the one year of their selection due to headless JKPSC.
"These 99 qualified candidates, the list of which was published in September 2013, and the probation period was to be started in October 2013 but they have not been allotted departments which had led to undue delay in start of their training period due to absence officials in JKPSC and these probationers are feeling betrayed by the slackness of the government for not filling these key vacant posts in JKPSC to pave the way career," they said.
They further informed that the mains examination of these batch were held on February 2013 and interviews were held in May-June 2013 and accordingly selected list of 99 candidates were published in August 2013 and their probation period of these selected candidates was to be started in October 2013 but ironically, these candidates had not been allocated their departments as per their merits.
"As per rule, these candidates had to be first allotted departments according to merit list and then joining had to be made then training of them was to be started but till date nothing has been done in this process and as a result they are without jobs and sitting idle which has spoiled more than one year of their careers," they alleged.
