Rahil's hat trick guides AG XI to 7-wkt win | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 10: Superb hat trick from first class cricketer, Rahil Singh today guided Accountant General (AG) XI to a fine seven wickets win against Intelligence Bureau (IB) in the ongoing Twenty20 Tournament, organised by the Centre Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC), at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here. It was Rahil's brilliant spell that inspired AG XI innings and restricted the opponent batsmen to a small total of 51 runs in 15.2 overs of the 20 overs game taking away three wickets for 10 runs in four overs. Rajinder remained top scorer with 17 runs while Mangal Singh and Anil Chowdhary contributed 11 and nine runs respectively. From AG XI, besides Rahil Singh's hat trick, Sahil Bhalwal and Ashwani Gupta also took three wickets each. In reply, AG XI achieved the target making 53 runs in just 7.4 overs. Bandeep Singh made highest 19 runs while Aditya Partap contributed 11 to the total. AK Vakil took all the three wickets from IB XI. The match was officiated by Shashi Jamwal and Sanjeev Kumar as umpires while Rattan Lal maintained the score. Among those present from organising committee were Mahesh Sharma, AK Chadha and Sham Lal. Next match: Central Water Commission (CWC) shall take on the combined side of AIR, Doordarshan and PIB at 9 am tomorrow. |
