Police Personnel Forum (Retd) stages protest

Kathua, Apr 10: Police Personnel Forum led by S. Ajit Singh President state unit condemned ignorance attitude of state government towards retired police personal as pay anomalies have not been given since 1996.
While addressing to protesters, Ajit Singh said the government order no. 229-f of 2014 dated 17-10-2014 is not acceptable regarding Pay anomalies since the effect is being given perspective which means the effect will be given from the date of order. He said with the implementation of this order lot of injustice has been done with the retired persons who actually are struggling right from 1996. The case regarding Pay anomalies was filed in the court in 2007 where High court has issued an order in favour of Forum on 18-12-2014 but the order has not been implemented by state government. DGP also recommended the government about emancipate of pay anomalies since 1996 but despite both court direction and recommendation by the department, state government unnecessary impediments to implement the order.
JK Police Personnel Forum stringently condemned Ch. Lal Singh Health Minister's remark where he declared support to Pakistan for fighting against Militancy. The forum said minister should provide safety to his home town rather touching high level points. The forum demanded safety and security of future for policemen than supporting Pakistan.
Satpaul Sharma, District President of the forum, Romesh Singh Jamwal, Vice president, Sagra Singh, secretary, Sukh Ram Spokesman and Harbans Lal Sharma, Adviser to District Forum also addressed the protesters and demanded immediate redress of their long pending demand of pay anomaly.
