MENDHAR, Apr 16: For his unauthorised absence from duty, block medical officer, Mendhar, Dr Pravez Ahmad Khan today recommended the case of a doctor, who is Medical Officer (MO) of Primary Health Centre (PHC), Mankote, under NRHM for termination. The BMO also placed under suspension eight health department employees and fined nine others for allegedly violating dress code, according to official sources. During surprise checking of various health institutions here, he found Mankote PHC MO, Dr Muzaffar Ahmad unauthorisedly absent from duty for the past 15 days. He chargesheeted the MO and sent his case to NRHM director for termination from duty, sources said. Those suspended for dereliction of duty included Harni PHC safaiwala Majid Ahmad, Chatral PHC FMPHW Shamshad Akhtar, block health worker Mohammad Yousaf and nursing orderly (NO) Ghulam Abbas, Choteshaw (Sakhimaidan) sub-centre NO Mohammad Taj, New Type PHC pharmacist Mohammad Fareed and FMPHW Keshwar Sultana and Ghani sub-centre FMPHW Sita Devi. Nine others were fined for violating dress code during duty hours. They included Bhattidhar sub-centre FMPHW Zora Begum, FMPHW (under NRHM) Shaheen Akhtar, Chatral PHC senior pharmacist Shoukat Hussain and safaiwala Nazir Hussain, Uchchad sub-centre FMPHW Neetu Bala, Mankote PHC dental surgeon, Dr Haq Nawaz, junior staff nurse Saida Kousar and FMPHW Pravez Akhtar and New Type PHC FMPHW Rubina Kousar. |
