Saahil Suhail Early Times Report anantnag, April 16: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Thursday said that law will take its own course after Centre asked the state government to take stern action against those involved in anti-national activities and waving Pakistani flag during a rally in Srinagar on Wednesday. "According to me, law will take its own course; if anyone has committed a mistake law will definitely do its work," Mufti told reporters after distributing cheques among the flood affected uninsured business holders and shopkeepers in Anantnag. Waving of Pakistani flag in the rally of Syed Ali Geelani, who returned New from Delhi after few months, has sparked a fresh controversy with Union Minister of State for Home Kiran Rijiju saying that the state government had been asked to act against those who had broken the law. Police had registered a case under sections 13 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 120-B, 147,341,336,427 RPC at Budgam against Geelani, Masarat Alam Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Bhat alias Peer Saifullah and other Hurriyat leaders for provocative activities and waving Pakistani flag in Hyderpora area. "Some miscreants who were part of the crowd organized by Geelani and others also pelted stones on CRPF vehicles; however security forces maintained restraint to safeguard the lives of people," a police spokesman had said on Wednesday. |
