Kalakote, Apr 16 : A headstrong rebuttal by the CDPO (Child Development Project Office) Director Kalakote to streamline the temporary workers and helpers in the Social Welfare Department (SWD) has led to the issue generating great resentment among the people of the area who lament that their daughters and sisters are deprived of their rights while blue eyed being adjusted against the posts. In a surprising revelation, it came into the light that nearly 25-430 posts of temporary workers and helpers in the SWD catering to seven projects in different areas are occupied by the relatives and kiths of the influential who are eating into the vitals while depriving the rightful people their right for job.
Child Development Project officer Kalakote Bhumika Sharma (Director) when apprised of the felony being committed under the very nose of the administration shied away from the responsibility saying that whole of the state is under such regime and she alone is not responsible and cannot get rid of the fault.
"This is the issue of the entire state. Why should I do it alone," was her rude reply when told that the seven projects at Nowshera, Kalakote, Buddhal, Rajouri , Thannamandi, Manjakote and Sunderbani are influenced by the blue eyed of the influential who are denying the rights of the potential female probable.
It is pertinent to mention that as per the government directives, there has been a blanket ban on the filling of the temporary posts of workers and helpers in various departments, but for SWD, Kalakote, the practice goes unabated without any government check omn it. When contacted, the Programme Officer (PO) Kalakote Rajinder Singh too admitted that he had approached Bhumika Sharma KAS with a plea that necessary action needs to be initiated against the faulty procedure , but she allegedly denied to take up the issue saying that it was not her case in isolation as entire state needs to do the rehash . The minister for Social Welfare Department, Forests and Environment Bali Bhagat when apprised about the ground situation came up with a strong assurance to take up the issue and set the faulty procedure right.
" it would be ensured that all temporary posts filled erratically would be taken up in right perspective and proper advertisements would be flowed within a week's time and set the procedure right," said Bali Bhagat. The minister gave assurance that he would cleanse the existing system of all felonies and ensured that proper procedure would be followed in streamlining the filling up of posts in his all departments, be it SWD, Forest or environment.
