Jammu, Apr 16: In a much publicized case of selection list by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court bench of Justice Yaqoob Mir today reserved the order for final judgment on quashing of teacher selection list of eight districts of Jammu division viz. Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch. When the matter regarding a bunch of writ petition pertaining to the selection of teachers was taken up collectively, the High Court bench of Justice Yaqoob Mir after hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma, N D Qazi, B S Manhas and other counsel appearing on behalf of petitioners and Advocate General, Senior advocate Sunil Sethi and others on behalf of respondent state reserved the said writ petition for orders. The counselors appearing for petitioners submitted that the final senior list is made in violation of rules and regulation and demanded its quashing on various grounds. Pertinent to mention over 2000 teachers were selected by the JKSSRB for eight districts of Jammu province last year but the selection was challenged in the court of law for alleged shoddiness and thereafter court stayed the selection orders till the outcome of the writ petition filled by the petitioners. |
