Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 16: Making a scathing attack on the Central and Jammu and Kashmir governments for giving a complete leverage to separatists VHP today demanded that the Valley should be handed over to the Army to flush out terrorists and anti national forces from there.
"Both the State and Central governments are giving a complete leverage to anti-national and separatists for declaring sedation against the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir," State VHP patron, Ramakant Dubey told reporters here.
"A complete revolt like situation took place yesterday in Kashmir wherein Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Geelani, Masarat Alam and others hoisted not only the Pakistani flags but raised anti-national slogans in the open," he said. The situation has worsened in the Valley and had the government taken the cognizance of the intelligence in puts the things would have been different, he added. "This was done in the open where security forces and J&K Police were just mute onlookers,"he said.
Dr Dubey alleged that those heading the Government are responsible for yesterday's situation in the Valley as they have a soft corner for both separatists as well as Pakistan.
The VHP leader said the situation in J&K is deteriorating day by day and it will be only contained when the movements of separatist and terrorists are curbed. He said the situation will automatically improve when the Kashmir is handed over to Army. Till militants and separatists are given a long rope the situation will continue to deteriorate, Dr Dubey added.
Making a scathing attack on Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed he said Kashmiri leaders are habitual of changing statements from Delhi to Srinagar and same is the case with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
He demanded that the head of the Unified Command should not be from the civil government and demanded that Governor should head the Unified Command in the State.
"Unless every such element who raises his head against the country and takes law into his hands is put behind bars, situation will never improve," he said.
"It seems recent release of Masarat Alam against the clear advice of the security personnel has ignited the situation at large. Having complete input from intelligence agencies against persons like Masarat Alam, present dispensation set him free, so that he could go against the nation in a much bold manner," the VHP leader said. He demanded that this chairmanship should permanently be given to GOC of Northern Command under the proper guidance of the State's Governor.
