Awareness cum free AYUSH Camps held in Rangpur | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 16: Following the directions from Directorate of Indian System of Medicines (ISM) AYUSH, a Ayurvedic Dispensary Baspur (R S Pura) organized two consecutive free medical camp (ISM) cum health awareness camp on the other day at Anganwadi Centre Thikrain-B and at Govt High School Rangpur Mullanian of R S Pura of Jammu. According to a press statement both camps held under the directions and patronage of Director General ISM, Abdul Kabir Dar witnessed overwhelming response from the locals and the students. The camps were aimed to bring better health care to the door step of rural folk who are deprived from the modern health care facilities, it added "Dr Bhawna Gupta Medical Officer ISM Dispensary Baspur and Dr Gagandeep Kour Medical Officer alongwith paramedical team examined the visitors for different health ailments during these two camps, the statement said adding, "atleast 90 patients were examined and provided free ISM (AYUSH) medicines at the camp held at Ayurvedic Dispensary Kotli Arjun Singh." Meantime another ISM camp was organized at Govt Boys High School Rangur Mullanian falling under jurisdiction of Ayurvedic Dispensary Baspur in R S Pura. The ISM doctors not only examined the students but also the locals who visited the camp held in their close vicinity, the statement said. The patients besides being checked up for various ailments were also made aware of the healthy dietary habits and hygiene and other precautionary measures water borne diseases in ongoing rains. Sarpanch and Panches have lauded the initiative of the ISM Dispensary Baspur. |
