Poonch, Apr 16: Water Works Employees Association held a protest rally and raised slogans in favour of their demands at Poonch.
According to press release, rally was taken out under the leadership of association's president Faiz Akbar Chowan. They appealed to the concerned Minister Sukhnandan Chowdhary to fulfill the genuine long pending demands of the PHE employees. The demands which were highlighted include, release of pending wages, regularisation of daily wagers, Needbase. ITI deploma holders, shortage of staff, release of pending 17 per cent DA, enhancement of wages and others.
Protesters threaten, if the concerned department failed to address the demands, the Dharna would be held at Executive Engineer Office from April 21. |
