File ATR on Div Com's report on Chatha-Sunjwan Land Scam: DB to GAD | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 12: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against allegedly hushing-up of Chatta-Sunjwan land scam, a Division Bench of State (DB) High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal directed General Administration Department to file Action Taken Report before the Court with regard to enquiry report submitted by then Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu. After hearing both the sides, Division Bench in the open Court directed General Administration Department to file Action Taken Report before the Court with regard to enquiry report submitted by then Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu before the June 10, 2015. At the very outset councilor for PIL submitted that pursuant to the last order of the Court, the petitioner was supposed to file a fresh application seeking impleadment of the persons in whose favour the land was transferred. It was also submitted that the beneficiary of the illegal transfer of the land has already been arrayed as respondent and thus there is no need to file the fresh application. Upon this Division Bench recorded the submission of counsel for the petitioner. Court also was informed that then Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu in his enquiry report has established that land measuring 20 Kanals comprised in Khasra NO 1442 was illegally sold by tempering the revenue records while action taken report be summoned from GAD which had ordered the holding of enquiry into the matter. |
