Early Times Report
jammu, May 12: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has sought more details on the new recruitment policy, which is being dubbed as anti-youth by the opposition parties. The CM has sent for certain clarification from the Finance Minister on the policy.
"The Government has to send the Ordinance to the Governor. The Finance Minister and other ministers are speaking in different voices. There is confusion. The government wants to send a clear reply to the Governor on the merits of the policy and also to give sound explanation to the youth, who have reposed faith in the PDP and BJP Government," said a senior PDP Minister, wishing not to be named.
There have been contradictory reports with regards to the implementation of the new recruitment policy, following which, CM sought more details from the Finance Ministry. Sources divulge that the CM has sought to know its merits and also how it would help the state finances.
"The Government has said that the policy was devised after detailed discussion by the all ministers of the coalition. But, it seems except for the Finance Minister, no one else had clarity of the issue. The FM was asked to devise it but was also asked to ensure that it should not back fire like it happened in the Omar Abdullah Government,' said the minister, quoted above.
The new recruitment policy has given a handle to the the Congress and the National Conference to hit the Government with.
"Mufti Sayeed is not happy with the developments over the policy as it has given opposition an issue to criticize the Government and generate public opinion against it.
"It's for this reason, that he has sought detailed reply from the Finance Minister and is also thinking of discussing it with the officials of the union finance ministry to set the perception and also make amends wherever necessary," said the senior minister.
