| VOK produces challan against Patwari Halqa Pallar Budgam | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 12: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) has produced a challan before the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Kashmir, Srinagar, against the then Patwari Halqa Pallar Budgam for demanding and accepting graft in lieu of issuing a revenue document.

The Case was registered in Police Station VOK agasint FIR No 07/2013 on a written complaint lodged by one Altaf Hussain Wani of Pallar, Budgam alleging therein that he was processing his loan case in Co-Operative Bank, Budgam for which a revenue document (Intikhab) was required.
His father had applied for issuance of Intikhab from the said Patwari Mohammad Sideeq of Pallangarh, Thanamandi Rajouri who demanded Rs 1000 as bribe for issuance of Intikhab.
The complainant demanded initiation of legal action against the accused in presence of independent witness. During the course of investigation the accused Patwari was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 1000 from the complainant. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved and after accordance of government sanction for launching prosecution against the accused person, the challan of the case was produced before the Court of Special Anti-corruption Judge Kashmir, Srinagar. At the time of production of the Challan the accused was present in the court and was released on bail. The next date of the case has been fixed on June 8, 2015. |
