3 Cops suspended as under trial in murder case gives slip to police 5/12/2015 11:28:09 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 12: An under trial in a murder case managed to give slip to police party from Udhampur Range when he along with four other under trails were taken to the court of 2nd Additional Session Judge for court hearing in Jammu. Taking cognizance against dereliction of duties, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Udhampur has placed three cops under suspension and also ordered an inquiry into the incident. "Three cops identified namely as ASI Iqbal, Head Constable Rashid and Constable Yudhveer have been placed under suspension while an inquiry has been initiated in this regard, sources said. Police sources said that under trial identified as Rahil Chandel son of Rafiq Chandel along with four other under trails was taken to the court of 2nd Additional Session Judge where between 11:30 to 11:45 he managed to escape from the custody of police. "He along with four others was under trail in a case under FIR 101/09 under section 302 of RPC at Udhampur Police Station", said a police official adding that Janipur police have registered a case under FIR 104/15 under sections 223 and 224 of RPC.
