REASI, May 12 : The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament of Reasi Zone for Under-14 and Under-17 girls in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho, wrestling and volleyball, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Reasi, begins here today.
District Information Officer, Reasi -Parvinder Kour was the chief guest while Assistant Director Employment, Reasi-Sulakshana Thakur was the guest of honor on the inaugural function. A pledge ceremony was held in which players took oath to observe true spirit of sportsmanship and discipline. In kho-kho Under-14 girls, Govt Middle Shchool Agharballian trounced Trikuta Shiksha Niketan Reasi by (10-06) while in kho-kho Under-17 girls; Trikuta Siksha Niketan Reasi defeated Govt. HS Kotliby (10-09).
In kabaddi Under-14 girls, Govt Girls HSS Reasi outplayed MS Panthal by (30-17), and Trikuta Siksha Niketan Reasi defeated Govt. Lower Seela by 21-17, while in kabaddi Under-17 girls, Govt HSS Panthal defeated Girls High School Katra by 23-16 and Trikuta Siksha Niketan Reasi defeated Govt HS Aghar Jitto by 24-12 points.
In volleyball Under-17, Govt HS KambalDanga defeated Govt. HS Agharjitto by 2-1 sets and Trikuta Siksha Niketan Reasi defeated Govt.GirlsHSS Reasi by 2-0 sets. The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Ashoka Kumari, Tour Kumar, Romesh Chander, Kuldeep Raj, Manzoor Hussain and Bishambar Dass. District Sports Officer Reasi-Dr SS Chib, ZPEO-Om Prakash, Principal Kambal Danga High School, members of PRIs, teachers and a large number of locals were also present on the occasion. |
