Pak agents asked to escalate violence in JK | Hizb spreading terror on name of Lashkar-e-Islam | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 30: Separatists and militants have received strict instructions from their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) to intensify their activities in Kashmir to intimidate BJP led NDA government to hold negotiations with Pakistan. Sources told Early Times the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government not showing any keenness to engage in talks with Pakistan and making it clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India has unnerved the Pakistan leadership. "The ISI has been told to activate its men in Jammu and Kashmir and somehow escalate violence in the strife torn state," said a source. He said, "Militants targeting cellular tower landlords and separatists taking out anti-India rallies are a ploy to disrupt the peace in Kashmir and attempt to appease their bosses sitting across the LoC." Sources said, "In coming days there is every possibility about violence escalating across Kashmir in coming days. Separatists have been told that their stipend would be doubled if they are able to orchestrate street protests and somehow vitiate the atmosphere." A police official said that Hizbul Mujahideen on the name of Lashkar-e-Islam is terrorizing people associated with the telecom sector and the killings in Sopore have been carried out to disrupt the communication network in the area. "After north Kashmir militants are planning to carry out strikes in south Kashmir and surfacing of threatening posters in Khrew area is the beginning," he added. Pertinently, threatening posters appeared in Khrew area on Friday. The posters issued by the Lashkar-e-Islam have asked the people associated with telecom sector to wind up their businesses. The posters read: "India is using many tactics in Kashmir, by which many militants and commanders got killed. This was because of mobile system. We are giving first and last warning that all network towers should be put off. All the shopkeepers, outlets, marketing persons are warned to wind up their business. All the land owners on whose land these towers are erected are warned to close the system. Recharge, Lopo outlets are warned to close the outlets." Sources said that Shabir Ahmed Shah, who recently said goodbye to Hurriyat Conference (JK), took out a pro-Pakistan rally in south Kashmir's Anantnag town on Friday to "prove his loyalty" to Pakistan and to appease his bosses. "On the other hand JKLF Chief Yasin Malik has started jail bharo campaign to protest against government not allowing him to start anti-India campaign in Kashmir." An official said that "failure of Pakistani agents" in Jammu and Kashmir has become a cause of worry for their handlers as they their moves are not working and common people are keeping themselves aloof from their activities. "Presently our primary concern is the forthcoming annual Amarnath Yatra, which would commence on July 2. We want to ensure that yatra should pass off peacefully. We are investigating who all are behind these warning posters. We have got some leads and investigations are going on at a fast pace. We won't allow militants to succeed in their designs to shut the mobile services in Kashmir," he added. Sources said that JK Government has been asked to act tough against the separatists and that's why Geelni, Malik and Shah have been detained. "Ministry of Home Affairs has made it clear to the state government that anti-India activities won't be tolerated." |
