Jammu, May 30 : All India Painters Workshop was opened at International Reorick Memorial Trust, Naggar (Kullu) where artists from J&K, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Himachal pradesh, Utara-Khand and Andhra Pradesh are participating. Ramesh Kumar, Indian Curator, IRMT inaugurated the workshop by putting brush strokes on canvas. The camp has been organized by Art Fort India, Chandigarh and Himachal Art Hertage, in collaboration with International Reoric Memorial Trust, Naggar (Kullu). Jang S. Verman, a senior artist from Jammu, Prabhinder Lall, senior Artist from Chandigarh with Senior fellowship, Naveen Dhiman (HP), Ishwar Dayal, Utrakhand, Mana Madho Rao (AP), all of them well known national level artists and Dr. Sushma and Pratima Gauri from Jalandhar are participating in this camp. The artists were of the opinion that such camps at the places of cultural importance will prove to be successful as these places provide proper atmosphere for conducting such activity. While speaking on this occasion the curator of IRMT said that Kullu Valley has the roots of spreading art & culture in the region for the last five thousand years. |
