Early Times Report Jammu, June 11: All India Backward Class Union (AIBCU) hailed this decision of the Chief Minister for OBC Advisory and Development Board with PDP. According to press release, a meeting of AIBCU was held here under the chairmanship of its president Jenab Abdul Majid Malik. Speakers and participants stated that this is the high time for PDP to fulfill the long pending demands of the state OBC's which include the implementation of Mandal Report in the State. "What so ever this institution of OBC, may be on the name of OBC Advisory and Development Board, the main purpose is to grant the due constitutional rights granted by Apex Court's Judgement of 1992 on Mandal Report", he said, urging that the Government particularly the State CM to make the OBC Advisory and Development Board meaningful. He said that the previous regime of NC-Congress spent crores of rupees on the name of Board but not ever an iota of benefit was given to the State OBCs. "State OBCs cannot be befooled only on the name of Advisory and Development Board", he added. The meeting was attended by Sandokh Chand, Master Sain Dass, Puran Chargotra, S.Rajinder Singh, Deepak Panday, Bodh Raj Dogra, Raj Kumar, Prof. Kali Dass and others. |
