NSUI protests for extending last date of submitting re-evaluation forms 6/11/2015 10:52:46 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 11: Up in arms against alleged refusal of the Controller Examination to extend the last date for submission of Re-evaluation forms of the Law Schools, NSUI activists held a protest demonstration on the Jammu University campus. The protesters, led by Avijot Singh, Raqqeek Khan and Amjad Bhat raised slogans against the University authorities and in support of their demand. They claimed that a number of students could not submit their re-evaluation forms on June 5, which was last date for the same, as the Divisional Commissioner Jammu had ordered closure of all educational institutions because of tension in Jammu following killing of a youth in Police firing. According to Avijot Singh, they had approached the Controller Examination for allowing the affected students to submit their re-evaluation form without late fee but their demand was turned down with a reply that Jammu university was open on June 5 with all its offices functioning on that day. "Because of curfew and restrictions imposed by the Government, JU should have extended the last date for submission of forms and shown some leniency towards the students," he added.
