JKSPA criticizes Govt for not releasing DA, other State pension benefits

Jammu, June 11: An emergency meeting of Senior Citizen Ex-State Employees was held under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Abrol General Secretary of All J&K State Pensioners Association Jammu (JKSPA) at Bishanah and they flayed the Govt. for not releasing DA.
Addressing the gathering at Bishnah, Madan Lal Abrol said the DA 10 percent with January 2014 and 7 percent DA from July 2014 6 percent pending DA from January 2009 to July 2009 is pending with the government. Despite repeated reminders, protest and Memorandum submitted to the government has done nothing to redressal their problems till date.
He recalled that the association held numbers of demonstrations in favour of their demands but unfortunately DA and installment of 6th Pay Commission have been not released the DA upto this time.
The other demands including enhancement of medical allowance from Rs. 300 to 1000 per month, the Centre Government has given the benefit to the senior citizen who has completed the age of 80 years, 85, 90, 95 and above got 20% to 100% to its pensioners in the year of 2009. But the pensioners of the state are suffering for the benefit owing to collouse attiude of the state government.
He also demanded that 50 percent DA should be merged with the basic pension. They also warned the Govt. solve the problem of the pensioners, otherwise strong agitation will be launched throughout the State. The prominent leaders who were addressed the gathering included Yash Paul Sansan, Raj Kumar Basnathia, Joginder Kumar, ML Sharma, Bushan Pargal, Jagdish Dogra and others.
