AIIMS-CC rejects CM's invitation, reveals to go on relay hunger strike from today | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 11: Disclosing that he has rejected the Chief Minister's invite on Saturday June 13, AIIMS Coordination Committee (AIIMS-CC) Chairman and President JKHCBA Adv Abhinav Sharma reiterated that he would meet the concerned authority to discuss the issue of AIIMS only if all the members of the Coordination Committee are invited and added the chain hunger strike will start on June 12, near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, Tawi Bridge. Chairman AIIMs Coordination Committee and President JKHCBA Adv Abhinav Sharma said that matter is very sensitive and it needs to be discussed and clinched in the presence of members of Coordination Committee spearheading ongoing mass movement in Jammu region on the issue. He stated that the chain hunger strike will start on June 12, 2015 near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, Tawi bridge. He also said that members of the over almost 100 non political organisations will be sitting on the hunger strike everyday besides including Dharnas in front of the ministers' houses as well as their Gherao. "The AIIMS coordination Committee is committed to achieving its stated goals at whatever cost," said Abhinav Sharma. He also said that the members of the coordination committee will meet on Saturday, June 13, at 11:00am at Bar room of JKHCBA, Janipur to chalk out the future course of action. He expressed satisfaction over the overwhelming response AIIMS Coordination committee has been getting from the people cutting across the party lines from across Jammu Province. in the end he thanked teachers of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology (SKUAST, Jammu), who on other day extended their full support to the ongoing movement in Jammu for establishment of AIIMS. |
