Officers attached with GAD "not to be given postings" | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 2: The officers, who were attached with General Administration Department (GAD), may not be given any posting till the government completes its tenure or till they remain in service, according to official sources. As per rules, some of the corrupt officers, whose services were not terminated, were attached with GAD with clear directions that they would not be given any posting and their moveable and immoveable assets would be found out. These directions were issued by the government to the Chief Secretary who then issued formal executive officers, sources claimed. Sources said in the next list many such officers might find their names. "Some of them haven't completed their even half the service but have indulged in a loot with scant regard for the rules. Some of them have amassed property worth billions and they were running the show," sources said. According to the sources the axing of the officers has started having desired effect. But some of the officers, who had never given any heed to their primary job, are now asking junior officers to teach them the basic lessons of the governance. "This nervousness reflects itself what the officers were doing in the previous government. In the previous government, ordinary people suffered a lot due to massive corruption in government departments. This is what the new government wants to correct and it will also leave a message that NC will find it hard to come back," sources added. |
