Nisar Ahmed wins Reasi-Geadil dangal title

JAMMU, July 03: Wrestler Nisar Ahmed of J&K Police won the 2nd Reasi-Geadil dangal after he defeated Manna of Captain Chand Roop Akhara Delhi in the main bout that took place at village Geadil in district Reasi. In all, 62 bouts were decided in this day-long dangal.
Dangal was organized by Geadil Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Association president, Shiv Kumar and Mohd. Nadeem Bhat.
Deputy Manager NHPC Salal, PL Sharma was chief guest, who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runners-up wrestlers. Deputy Manager NHPC, Salal Munish Kant Gourav, Assistant Manager, RS Prabhakar, contractor, Ajaz Magray, Vikram Singh and Virender Pandoh were guests of honour.
Winner of title bout, Nisar Ahmed was awarded with cash prize of Rs 6,000 and Salal Kesari title while runner-up Manna got Rs 5,000.
Members and technical officials who helped for conduct of this dangal included Mohd. Nadeem Bhat, Rattan Lal, Om Parkash, Ashu Sharma, Bittu Sharma, Ravi Sharma, Hazi Karam Din Bhat, Kulbir Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Deepak Wazir, Mohd. Fareed, Nazir Ahmed and Parhald Singh.
In the second main bout Roshan Lal of J&K Police defeated Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara while Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara clinched the third bout beating Kulbir Singh of Domana. The fourth bout went to Raj Kumar of Delhi after he defeated Babba of Kot Bhawal.
Other Results: Gulshan Singh of Kalakote beat Sandeep of Delhi, Murad Ali of Domana beat Kuldeep of Delhi, Munner Khan of Domana beat Bir Singh of Reasi, Balwan Singh of Police of Mahore beat Javed Khan of Nargada, Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police of Jindrah beat Dilbagh Sigh of Mahore, Jagdev Singh of Narkote beat Laikat Ali of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu, Raj Singh of Mahore bat Asraf of Domana, Suneet Singh of Kalakote beat Munish of Amritsar and Niaz Ali of Domana beat Sher Mohd. of Mahore.
