GBSWA hails hike food stipend for school children | | | Earlu Times Report
Jammu, Oct 11: Gujjar Bakarwal Student's Welfare Association (GBSWA) hailed Chief Minister's decision to hike in food stipend for school children who are staying in hostels, from Rs 50 to 100 per student. According to press release, the GBSWA expressed gratitude of CM Mufti Mohd Sayeed, Minister CAPD and Tribal Affairs Ch Zulfkar Ali, VC GB advisory board Ch Zafar Khatana, Member of Parliament Mehbooba Mufti, Secretary of GB Advisory board Ch Latief Paswal for the enchanting announcement of food stipend in hostels for school children from Rs 50 to 100 per student. President GBSWA Zulfqar Kassana said that it was pending demand since long. "We had presented memorandum to government for the hike of 100 rupees instead of 50 rupees. We are highly thankful that our demand has been fulfilled in the 34th meeting of Advisory board for GB on the priority basis yesterday", he said. Kassana said that before PDP government ST students were feeling insecure themselves because previous govt. did nothing for this community during their tenure .previous govt. was providing only 50 rupees for three time meals which was very difficult to provide quality of food to the students. |
