NC leveling unfounded charges to stoke communal violence: BJP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 11: The National Conference is deliberately stoking communal tension by labeling unsubstantiated charges at the BJP for an attack on the truck drivers at Udhampur. The party, which has been in power for many years, and also has been alliance partner of the BJP, is now making every attempt to label BJP as anti-Muslim in a larger tactic of forcing the PDP to withdraw support from the BJP. "The NC is still not able to digest its historical defeat. Omar Abdullah, who had managed to scrap through with just about 1000 votes, is not adjusting himself to be without power. He still believes that power is his birth-right and to get it back he and his party all kind of baseless allegations," said a senior PDP leader. According to the sources, the BJP has decided to take on the NC for its baseless allegations and is planning to go all out in the media to expose the selective and discriminatory decisions taken by the party when it was in governance. "The facts and figures on the decisions taken by the NC when it was in power will expose how discriminatory was Omar with respect to different regions of the State," said a BJP leader. "Omar Abdullah has given free hand to his senior party colleague Ali Mohd Sagar to attack BJP while Sagar has the least credentials to talk about social fabric and secularism' said a senior PDP leader from Kashmir. |
