JAMMU, Oct 11: Police Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, who has most of the times remained in news for wrong reasons, may land in trouble and face an inquiry as the information provided by range police headquarters (RPHQ) in reply to an RTI application makes startling disclosure about the status of his qualification. Zonal police headquarters (ZPHQ) transferred the RTI activist's application to RPHQ vide October 5, 2015 letter No RTI/ZPHQ/67/2015/25285-87 for a detailed reply as regards the educational qualification of Inspector Choudhary. The letter, transferred under section 6(3) of J&K Right to Information Act-2009, was received by RPHQ on October 6 for necessary action in the matter. Taking its cognizance, RPHQ collected the requisite information and provided it to the RTI activist on October 9, 2015 vide letter No SO/RTI-2015/8427-28, a copy of which was also available with Early Times. The letter says that as per the record/report of RPHQ's establishment section, there is no such document regarding graduation degree/marks card found attached with the character roll of Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary (No 4434/NGO Exj-955655-CID. "However, perusal of service record of the officer reveals that he has passed B A, but there is no mention of roll number, registration number and name of the college from where he has passed the graduation degree," the RTI reply says. The RPHQ's RTI reply has been signed by Parshotam Lal, DDP, Incharge PIO of RPHQ, Jammu. RPHQ has also submitted its one copy to ZPHQ for favour of information. Police sources said as the copies of the RTI reply had also been submitted to senior police officers, police were likely to further dig into the matter secretly to bring the fact to light. |
