Early Times Report

Jammu,Oct 11: Asserting that Pakistan forces assisted by Tribals in the name of 'Jehad' attacked state of Jammu and Kashmir on October 22 and indulged in loot, plunder and killing of innocents at unprecedented level, Jammu and Kashmir Unity Foundation has called and appealed to the people to observe this day as 'Black Day'. The foundation members also called upon the Government of India to take concrete measures to free the area of Jammu and Kashmir state occupied by Pakistan illegally including Pak Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK), Gilgit and Baltistan as untold human rights violations are being conducted by Pak Army and the infamous ISI.
''This year October 22 is coinciding with the festival of 'Vijaydashmi', which signifies 'Victory of Good over Evil' and Government of India should intervene decisively to restore the area of Jammu and Kashmir state back and fulfil its promise of Resolution of Parliament of 1994 to restore the area under the illegal occupation of Pakistan back, Ajaat Jamwal, JKUF convenor here told mediapersons. JKUF also announced to hold a seminar on the topic Black Day October 22, 1947- Military Invasion not Tribal Raid by Pakistan on October 22, 2015 to commemorate the memory of those killed, looted and plundered by the Pakistan Army and its paid Militia. ''Jammu and Kashmir Unity Foundation seeks involvement of the citizens of the state in particular and country in general to join hands so that society as a whole is mobilized to defend and promote the national interests,'' Jamwal asserted. He said, though Pakistan has been trying to usurp the state of Jammu and Kashmir since 1947 and promoting fissiparous separatist elements in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. But the recent definite signals by the Government of India that 'terror and talks cannot go together' have frustrated the Pakistan Army and the ISI to the extent that they have been indulging in ceasefire violations across International border and Line of Control targeting civilian population. Foundation however, appealed to all citizens of the state, social, cultural and political organizations to observe this day as 'Black Day' which ushered in destabilization in the state.
