Early Times Report Udhampur, Oct 11: Appealing the people at large to maintain communal harmony and peace in the wake of recent sacrilegious acts in district Udhampur, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers party took out a peace rally at Udhampur under the leadership of Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP here on Sunday. Numbers of people belonging to Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christen community gathered at Adarsh Colony Udhampur and proceeded towards D.C Office via Slathia Chowk Udhampur. Addressing the gathering Mankotia blamed the State Govt. for allowing Er. Rasheed MLA to organize sacrilegious and law defying 'beef party' in the MLA Hostel Srinagar due to which the communal tension gripped entire Jammu Province including district Udhampur in particular. He said that by facilitating such communal disorder, the State Govt. had not only divided the people of the state in the name of religion but also diverted their attention from the core issues of sanctioning AIIMS to Jammu, Smart City for Jammu and regularization of NYC, SPO's, daily wagers of PHE, Agriculture, R&B Department.etc. He further maintained that instead of lodging FIR against the felon MLA who openly violated the RPC Sec. 298 A, B, C, D by organizing beef party in the Government premises of MLA hostel in Srinagar, the government had booked several youth of Udhampur in false cases causing harassment to them. He cautioned that Panthers Party shall not tolerate such type of govt. attitude and exhorted the district administration to identify and apprehend the real perpetrators of the heinous crime which rocked entire Udhampur district. He appealed to the people of Udhampur District as well as J&K State to maintain communal harmony & brotherhood at all costs. |
