PYC's Yuva Akrosh Yatra receives overwhelming response at Ramban

Ramban, Oct 17: Taking the BJP-PDP government head on, "Yuva Akrosh Yatra" organsied by Pradesh Youth Congress, to fight for the cause of the seven lac educated unemployed youth, dailywagers, NYCs, has today, on the 6th day reached at Ramban district. Thousands of youth congress activists and people from all walks of life joined the "Yuva Akrosh Yatra" demanding scraping of the new recruitment policy 2015 and a special employment package for the state.
In Batote the Yatra received a rousing reception organized by youth of the town lead by Rashid Malik Vice President YC, where hundreds of youth joined the yatra and drove to Ramban for participation in Yatra while prominent those present on this occasion included Vikar Rasool Banhali MLA Banihal and Arun Singh Raju DCC President Ramban who received the Yatra at Ramban town.
Later the Yatra marched with a large number of youth of the town, protesting against the anti youth policies of the government.
Vikar Rasool and Arun Singh also addressed the gathering and assured their full support in fighting the injustice meted to the lacs of youth of the state in the name of new recruitment policy 2015.
Dr Uma Shanker Pandey, National secretary IYC, Pranav Shagotra, President J&K PYC, Satish Sharma, Paramjit Singh General Secretaries, Vinay Sharma President LYC lead the rally from Udhampur to Ramban and addressed the gatherings at Patnitop, Batote, Khlari and Ramban.
Dr Uma Shanker Pandey, National secretary IYC, addressing the Yatra warned the government of an aggressive fight if the system is not ready to listen to the woes of the youth of the state. He said that in spite of conducting a large scale signature campaign at 87 Assembly Constituencies and submitting the same to the 22 DDCs in which thousands of students and youth urged the BJP-PDP government to scrap the new recruitment policy and to arrange a meeting with Chief Minister, government has not shown any interest to peaceful requests.
Pranav Shagotra, President J&K PYC exhorted upon the youth of the state to stand up and get united against this government of political cheaters and added that BJP and PDP have committed the worst kind of political cheating with their electorates in their respective constituencies.
Chetan Wanchoo Spokesperson, Rashid Malik Vice President LYC, Pankaj Sharma, Alyas Wani, Ashwani Sharma LYC General Secretaries, Sadakat Hussain, Syed Dar, Ayub AYC Presidents organized the Yatra and also addressed the gathering.
PYC Chief further revealed that after finishing the first phase of Yatra covering 12 districts of Jammu, we will organise a massive protest demonstration in Jammu. He expressed hope that may be the government will agree to our demands before that and if not there will be no option but to make our fight more intensive.
