Jammu, Oct 17: Virtually succumbing to an ex-PDP Minister's pressure, State Police Headquarters (PHQ) has cancelled its own order by re-alloting him a PSO-cum-driver which it had withdrawn over two months back.
PHQ on August 6 last issued an order No 2368, withdrawing the PSO-cum-driver of the ex-PDP Minister. This PSO, a Havaldar, was then posted in 3rd Bn of Armed Police, according to police sources.
Though the PDP Minister took up the matter with the senior police officer at PHQ, his PSO was not returned to him. When his repeated requests to the PHQ yielded no results, he approached some PDP Ministers in the coalition Government.
Sources said when the PDP Ministers took up the matter with senior police officers at the PHQ, they were forced to issue order No 3125, rescinding their August 6 order.
"The cop has now joined the PDP Minister as his PSO-cum-driver," sources informed. |
