| FIR lodged against fraudster for issuing fake NHRM appointment orders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 17: Nowabad police have registered a case against a fraudster who was posing himself as a senior bureaucrat and has allegedly provided fake appointment letters to the gullible unemployed youth while charging hefty amount from them.
According to police sources, the fraud case of fake appointment came to limelight when a senior officer in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) namely Harjeet Rai lodged complaint with the Nowabad police alleging there in that a girl came to the office of the NHRM with the appointment letter which later turned into fraud.
"Based on the complaint, an FIR having No 135/2015 u/s 420 RPC was registered by the Nowabad Police and investigation was set in place, police sources said.
Sources said, "During investigation, the aggrieved girl informed police that one person had provided an appointment letter in the Health Department and in return had charged some hefty amount from the girl.
"The investigations in the matter is in progress as Police now are seeking help of the cybercrime to trace the accused through his mobile numbers, which he reportedly have put on off mode, till last reports poured in, police sources said. |
