MD SIDCO Amit elected as maiden Vice President of COSIDICI from J&K 10/18/2015 12:55:34 AM Early Times Report New Delhi, Oct 17, 2015: Adding yet another feather to the cap of J&K state, Managing Director J&K State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) Amit Sharma was elected as one of the vice-presidents of nation's prestigious industrial corporation, namely Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (COSIDICI) during its AGM and Executive Body Meeting held at New Delhi yesterday. J&K SIDCO is also a member of this prime industrial development corporation since long and figuring amongst its 56 state-level members but it never got the coveted position as President or Vice-President of this Council since it's joining COSIDICI. This is for the first time in the history of J&K SIDCO that its Managing Director has been elected as its Vice-President of COSIDICI which is a matter of pride and honour for the state. Before this election was held, MD SIDCO Amit Sharma was actively involved in deliberations and he shared his vision and ideas during AGM and Executive Body Meeting of COSIDICI about proactive role of the Council for giving more teeth and assistance to various state-level members. He also talked about setting-up Technical Training Institutes in SIDCO estates which can help in churning out maximum local skilled labourers from within the state itself. This was widely appreciated across the board in AGM by all COSIDICI members. Alongside, COSIDICI executive body decided to take the initiative towards organization of its upcoming meet of entrepreneurs of all states of the nation at Jammu in the beginning of next year after deliberating same Amit Sharma, MD SIDCO which will certainly give an impetus for more industrial growth in J&K. It is worthwhile to mention here that COSIDICI is one of the premier Industrial Development & Industrial Development Corporations of the nation established since 1976 wherein MD SIDCO Amit Sharma's entry will help to help J&K improve its performance in terms of industrial investments and trade promotion across the board.
