Locked School: ZEO Bhagwah seeks explanation, withholds salary of staff 10/18/2015 12:58:25 AM Mohd Majid Malik Early Times Report Doda, Oct 17: After appearance of news item in today edition of Early Times news paper highlighting Govt School Gramari found closed at working day, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Bhagwah Khurshid Ahmed taking cognizance in the matter today sought explanation from the headmaster and staff of the school and withheld the salary of the whole staff from the month of Oct to onwards for keeping the school closed . Pertinent to mention that there were continuous complaints from the locals of Grammari ,Dessa zone Bhagwah of Doda alleging that that teachers of Govt Middle School (Girls) Gramari , Dessa hardly visit school and it remains often closed and that the teachers come hardly once a week just for making entries in the attendance register and then leave without teaching. Their non seriousness towards the profession is talking toll of the academic session of students, they added. ZEO Bhagwah was also apprised about the prevailing rampant absenteeism of teachers of GMS (Girls) Gramari who later communicated the same to CEO Doda besides informing his senior that these teachers hardly visit the school and in recent episode the parents and local village head had found school closed on working day during a surprise visit on Friday and passed a unanimous resolution to take up matter with higher authorities while demanding strict action against the erring staff.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
