KATHUA, Oct 20: A day long Financial Inclusion Programme was organized in Government Higher Secondary School, Kathera by National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) to sensitize school children about development through banking and social sector schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana etc. The main participants were Aman Kalsotra, AGM (DDM), NABARD, J P Singh Talwar, LDM, Kathua, Ashok Khashu, Director, SBI-RSETI, Dr Anamika Jamwal, SMS, KVK, Kathua, Ram Prakash Sharma, Principal, GHSS, Kathera, Sansar Chand, FLCC Coordinator, teachers and students of GHSS, Kathera. DDM, NABARD briefed them about the importance of financial inclusion; need of opening of saving accounts and developing through banking. He asked them to be entrepreneurial in their thinking and have ability of creating enterprise. He explained inclusion through loaning, subsidy schemes and development of enterprise. He also informed about the importance of small saving, micro insurance & need to be careful from fraud. J P Singh Talwar, LDM, SBI, Kathua interacted with school students. He informed them about different schemes of SBI and Ladli Beti Yojna launched by State Government. |
