Fake NGOs, bogus Facebook IDs spreading communal hatred | Kishtwar Police start investigations | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report jammu, Oct 20: Kishtwar Police have started investigations into the unregistered NGOs and fake Facebook IDs which are spreading communal hatred on internet amid communally charged atmosphere in the State. Youth PDP leaders Wasil Doolwal and Rashid Lone have stressed upon the Government and Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to take legal action against fake and unregistered NGOs functioning in the State and Kishtwar District, added that many among these unregistered NGOs are involved in anti social activities by misusing the social media, thus causing law and order problems by spreading hate massages. "If such elements are not curbed with iron hand there is every apprehension of law and problem in this district as well as in State of Jammu and Kashmir as severe resentment is prevailing amongst the peace loving youths of Kishtwar" said Wasil Doolwal. PDP youth leaders also slammed some of the Government officials for their pro-activeness on social media and urged upon the Government to be barred the Government officials from using social media. "Udhampur incident of cow slaughtering is the creation of social media like facebook and whatsapp which resulted into unfortunate death of a 24 year old Kashmiri trucker" said Rashid Lone. Meanwhile taking cognizance of the news item published on Oct 18 edition of "Early Times" Kishtwar police started the verification process of NGOs . Additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom said that Kishtwar police has started verification of NGOs for which Dy. SP HQ Touseef Ahmed has been assigned as verification officer. Legal action will be initiated against unregistered NGOs" he said, adding that those found involved in promoting anti national or hate activities, shall be dealt with iron hands. |
