| BSNL plays `pimp' for `friendship' | | |

srinagar, Oct 20: Realising that the on-going conflict had disconnected the people in this neglected land; the BSNL is now playing the `pimp' to connect total strangers.
"Hi! Kal Main Movie Dekh rahi thi aap ka phone pick nahi kar payi, acha nahi lag raha,chalo abhi baat kartay hain. Call me on 12630088." (SIC).
Subscribers have been receiving such messages for quite some time now. A Moulvi Sahib even recited Astugfirullah (god forgive me) but the BSNL onslaught did not end. The service provider hell bent upon making Moulvi Sahib's nights spicy.
The Moulvi sahib alone is not in trouble. Others have come up with similar complaints. "Hi, Aaj Me Ghar per Akeli Hu. Bore ho rahi hu. Kijye Mujse Fun Filled battein, Abghi dial kare." (SIC).
Interestingly the pimps in Red Light areas of Delhi and Mumbai use exactly these types of cheap words to lure the customers.
Yet another message merits special mention here. It reads: "Improve ur sex power and increase time period. First time in India, 100% herbal, Money back offer. Massage oil free Rs 2499. Call 09888711258." (SIC).
A BSNL subscriber told Early Times that "our service provider was also concerned about our sexual health also."
The BSNL has also been accused of promoting promiscuity, licentiousness and waywardness.
A local Imam, Muhammad Yasin took serious note of what he called "porn messages". According to him, there is a design in it. "We are fighting a war against waywardness but the BSNL is sabotaging our efforts," he said.
Repeated attempts to contact BSNL authorities went in vain. |
