Er Rashid no victim, he is a 'mischief monger' | 'He provoked Hindus by hosting beef party' | | Early Times Report jammu, Oct 20: The independent MLA Er Rashid facing ink attack in New Delhi after being thrashed by BJP MLAs at Legislative Assembly in Srinagar for hosting a beef party should serve as an eye opener for the hate mongers and anti-national elements who are into the business of preaching secessionism. Er Rashid is trying to project himself as a victim and is trying to get sympathies from all the corners. People who are expressing solidarity with Er Rashid should realize that he is not a victim but a "mischief monger" who looks for a chance to stir trouble so that Hindus and Muslims could be pitted against each other. Since the day Er Rashid has become an MLA he has tried all the cheap publicity stunts. Despite he being under oath to safeguard the integrity and sovereignty of the country he has left no stone unturned to work against the national interests of the nation. He is the one who tried to bring a resolution in the Assembly to seek clemency for the Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru thus hurting the sentiments of the families of brave hearts who lost their lives while fighting the terrorists. He wants India to hold talks with terrorists who are killing people and fomenting trouble and wants Assembly to discuss Kashmir, without bothering about the fact that JK is an integral part of India. If one just recollects the events of the recent past it would become amply clear that he tried to add fuel to the fire by blowing the beef issue out of proportion. He raised hue and cry in the Assembly and later provoked the Hindu community by hosting a beef party at MLA hostel in Srinagar, where Hindu MLAs were putting up. It's unfortunate that despite Er Rashid leaving no stone unturned to foment trouble and create a communal divide in Jammu and Kashmir no action was taken against him. Instead everyone seems to be at his side condoning that he became the victim of "squad politics," first in Assembly then in New Delhi. The people who have sided with Er Rashid should advise him (Er Rashid) to mend his ways rather than giving sermons on democracy and freedom of speech. "Freedom of speech doesn't mean that anyone can talk anything without bothering about the repercussions it can have," said an analyst. He said Er Rashid should introspect why he is facing the ire from all the sides. "Er Rashid during all these years has got away with whatever he has done. He has taken the entire system for granted. Enough is enough, he cannot get away anymore. People whom he is hurting cannot act as mute spectators they too have feelings and their rights. People like Er Rashid cannot keep on trampling these rights. He is reaping what he has sown. He is no victim. He is a MLA with pro-separatists leanings who wants to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of the State," the analyst added. If people like Er Rashid want to live in India they should learn to respect the sentiments of other communities rather than creating a wedge between majority and minority communities. People who believe that Er Rashid is a "victim" are wrong. The independent legislator needs to mend his ways to save himself from the ire of the masses in future and needs to accept that he is an Indian. |
