Following resentment, Govt excludes five non-Paharis announced as members to JKABDPSP

Rajouri, Oct 20: After strong resentment by the representatives / leaders of Pahari Speaking Community and even anguish and displeasure expressed by the Vice Chairman, J&K Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People (JKABDPSP), State government has deleted the name of five non-Paharis included in the recently announced list of the Pahari Board members. The names of Abdul Rehmand ,Hassad-ud-Din both from Doda, Mohd Iqbal Katoch . Moulvi Fiaz both from Ramban district and Abdul Rashid from Jammu were deleted from the list of Board members which was released by State Government vide its order No.1367-GAD/2015 dtd 14 /10/15.Pahri speaking community representatives/ leaders and office holders of various Pahari People Organisations have appreciated the efforts of Kuldeep Raj Gupta Vice Chairman who has also expressed his resentment against the government order and succeeded in deleting the names of non-Pahari leaders from the list of Board Members.On the recommendation of Vice Chairman Kuldeep Raj Gupta, the six names viz. Azam Shah, Sunil Gupta, Avinash Jasyal, Deeraj Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Kaniz Fatima and Qazi Abdul Latief all from Rajouri district were added in the list. Kuldeep Raj Gupta while expressing his resentment had said that inclusion of many names which were not suggested by him and he had demanded deletion of these names. He has said, "I am surprised to see the list published in the news paper as many names suggested by me were missing from list. I was asked to submit the 40 names but to my surprise list of 67 members was released that too without my consultation". Naeem Ganai, senior state vice president of Muslim Rashtriya Manch ( BJP wing), Mohd Sharief and Mohd Ashraf , senior BJP leaders, Iqbal Shawl, Shahbaz Khan,chief executive J&K Pahari People Movement and leading the movement to get ST Status for the community, Abdul Kadir Khan, chairman Pahari Youth Front and many other Pahari leaders had also resented the inclusion of non-Paharis for the board membership. Meanwhile, office holders of various Pahari Community organizations, senior Pahari leaders , intellectuals and writers from the community have appreciated the efforts of Kuldeep Raj Gupta, who succeeded in getting the names of non-Paharis excluded.
