EDP on Himayat concludes; 34 aspiring entrepreneurs pass out | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Oct 20: A fresh batch of 34 aspiring entrepreneurs including three girls passed out from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Reasi after completing the three-week Entreprenurship Development Programme (EDP). The EDP started on 3rd October at DC camp office Mahore with the support of Bagga based Rashtriya Rifles battalion and civil administration of Mahore which provided requisite infrastructural and administrative support for the training . BDO Mahore Mohammad Iqbal was the chief guest who while concluding the EDP emphasized on the importance of hard work and dedication required for undertaking any business activity. "Innovation is required today in business sphere and I want youth to take the initiative and something which is new in the local market", he said. As part of training programme the participants hailing from different areas of district reasi were also deputed for field visits and market survey as well. The three week EDP was aimed at providing lessons on skill development, performance improvement as well as business cum sector specific, and self-development training to the aspiring entrepreneurs. The trained youth will now be provided financial linkage to help them start their business ventures said Vir Partap Singh Salathia , DNO JKEDI Reasi. The programme was a part of the institute's mission to foster entrepreneurial culture, where in the JKEDI is committed to provide both financial as well as non-financial assistance to the educated unemployed youth of the State. . The training was conducted under guidance and support of Dr. M.I. Parray director J&K EDI and Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan , Communication Officer J&KEDI. |
