| 3 alleged vehicle lifters denied bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 20: Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba, Swati Gupta has rejected the bail application of three accused alleged to be involved in the theft of vehicles.
The accused included Ashwani Kumar, Sunil Kumar and scrap dealer Sohan Lal. After hearing the senior PO appearing for police, the special mobile magistrate observed that the accused were involved in very heinous offence and the apprehension of the prosecution was that investigation was at very primitive stage and there was every possibility that some more cases of theft may pour in from different police stations and further observed that the nature and magnitude of the offences alleged to have been committed by the accused had instilled insecurity in general public which needs to be dispelled till the time the investigation is completed. With these observations, the court rejected their bail applications.(JNF) |
